The Carr Fire, which happened the summer of 2018, impacted the lives of thousands residents in Shasta and Trinity Counties. I took the initiative to follow the development of the “Firenado” closely, aiming to take photos and videos so that we could inform the public promptly on social media. Our first video reach almost 2M viewers immediately, and it helped the public around the world be aware of the disaster.

Every winter, the possibility of slides affecting the lives of Californians in rural areas is real. We utilized video, photography and social media to promptly keep the traveling public up to date on these emergencies.
