Bilingual Consultant

For at least seven years I worked independently as a bilingual communications consultant. On the business side of it, I failed miserably. While I was fortunate to have amazing clients and be involved in awesome programs and high-level campaigns, several factors –such us not knowing how much to charge and definitely not knowing how to grow as a business, contributed to my deciding to leave that path alone and move in a different direction, which I do not regret. As it is often the case, I learned plenty about the profession and about the diverse communities that are part of our beloved California. Despite the challenges and disappointments, I had a lot of fun and met very interesting people; and I know my clients appreciated the work we did together.

I am glad I have this video to provide a snapshot of my professional experiences from 2007 through 2014, more or less. It feels like this experience was long time ago. Yet, certain values and practices in the Public Relations, Media and Communications profession remain as valid today as they were before.

Basically, there are no short cuts, you’ve got to be loyal to clients in good times and in bad times, hard work pays off, taking risks is a must and learning to move forward is imperative.

Here is a video of my bilingual consulting experience.
